Hi, I’m Arika.

I started Held Home in a season of rebuilding — as a mom, as a woman, and as someone learning to create peace in my own space again. Life had felt heavy and chaotic, and I found myself longing for moments of stillness. One of the simplest but most powerful rituals was lighting a candle.

For me, that moment usually comes at the end of the day. The house is quiet, my son is asleep, and I finally have time to breathe. Lighting a candle felt like reclaiming myself, a small reminder that my home could be a sanctuary again, no matter what was happening outside of it.

Held Home was born from that ritual. Each candle is hand-poured in Detroit with coconut soy wax and wood wicks, designed to bring warmth, comfort, and intention into your space. Every order includes a prayer and verse card because I believe home is not just where we live, it’s where we heal, grow, and return to ourselves.
